Harry Caul Correspondence System

Harry Caul, from Francis Ford Coppola’s The Conversation, is one of my favorite film characters of all time, so I created this branding and correspondence system for him. The system is in two parts: his career as a surveillance expert that he devotes most of his time and energy to, and his personal life as a saxophone player. In the film, he lies to his love interest and tells her that he is a freelance musician; the second half of the branding system is to assist him in his deceit.

His professional correspondence makes use of translucent material throughout to acknowledge Harry’s nonstop but ultimately futile struggle to conceal himself from the world around him, as well as mimic the translucent rain jacket he wears in many scenes in the film, even when it is not raining or he is indoors.
