A picture says one thousand words, but brevity is the source of wit and wisdom. I would love to see you update daily, but even more than that I am interested in hearing what you think about the things you find or experience. Write about design if you do.

@DANGER
Yes, I think you are right. I am just going to have to force myself to post more often and to stop waiting for "blog-worthy" content. This would give the whole thing a more natural direction I suppose.

@ESBEN
It is good to know there are people out there reading, that really encourages me to write more. I think the one drawing you have produced is quite nice, do a bunch of quick sketches of things around you and you will become more confident in your skills. Don't look at each drawing as a finished piece, but instead a part of your learning process; they should not be precious.
I agree with you that a good, solid blog has one subject or focus, which is precisely my concern. My work is so scattered that my blog is as well. I am just going to go with it though, and see where it takes me.

hm I don't know if I have a personal preference from non-digital design, except for letterpress, which have caught my attention big time, so Im not to say, it wouldn't interest me :) graphic design is what it is, digital or not.

Well since I myself is a Illustrator designer (being a bit careful about the last bit) and self taught only a couple of years ago, Im sucking up every bit of information about how and why a given design works, and format doesn't really matter.

Grid, colours, placement, breaking the rules etc. are in high demands, not many write about this stuff. Lauren on creativecurio does on occasion have such a post, but otherwise I don't find much. Its also a good subject to get a discussion going I guess..

About your drawings!

You see, I can't draw and I would really like to get better myself, I have so far made one http://www.flickr.com/photos/esbenthomsen/2864835460/ and its not good, but it was such fun to do (digitally).

I find myself asking very basic stuff, from "how to hold your pencil", "which kind of pencil for what?", "what kind of paper?", which motives would be good to start at.. basic beginner stuff. Pour out of your knowledge about the subject and make some tutorials for instance. There aren't any blogs that touch that subject as far as I can google.

Personally I like blogs that have one subject and goes into depth :-) Remember you can always make another site, for "stuff I find" or simply link to delicious.

Hope It helped alot and Im sorry I don't comment ofter, but I do read every single post

Agree with Esben!!!! the whole "I FOUND THIS STUFF IT IS GREAT LOOK AT THIS GREAT STUFF I FOUND" is a dime a dozen. So are hipsters on fixies. If you must, go wood or design. OR, analog design IN WOOD. hey!!!

No. Personal bias is towards non-digital design work, but only because you are practically the only graphic designer I know who manages to convince me, time and time again, not to look dubiously on designers as a lesser breed.

Why are you worried about holding any kind of audience? You have a new-ish personal blog here, you may as well write about whatever the hell you want, and let the content determine the direction as you go. You don't need a thesis.

Thanks a lot for the feedback Esben, I did not know anyone reading my blog cared about my drawings. My fear is just that because this thing is so scatterbrained as is, I will not be able to hold any kind of audience. You have given me some things to think about, thanks for your thoughts!

I always like the discussion about fonts, but your drawings was a huge surprise and I would like to see more.

Making a blog about " great stuff I find", is just the new trend, which alright, but I have to admit that I would rather read about why its great, not just showcasing.
